Callus Removal

Callus is a build up of hard thick skin and usually develop on the soles of your feet. Calluses can vary in size and shape and often larger then corns. Calluses are yellowish in colour and tend to involve large areas of skin, especially under the balls of the foot and the sides of the big toe. Calluses may be considered a form of protection in that the layers of dead skin cells are resistant to blisters and friction.  The most common cause of calluses is inappropriate footwear, increased walking or running also uneven distribution of weight.

Here at Feeney's Feet treatment would involve paring down the callus with a scalpel to reduce the pain and advice on footwear will be given.

As Foot Health Practitioners we are trained to recognise foot conditions and treat appropriately.
